Monday, July 03, 2006 my dad's the best. here's a quick sketch i did of him for fathers day. this was the practise and it was way better than the one i did in the card! crazy :) you'll notice that the face shape and the mouth, hair and eyebrows are awesome and really accurate. the things that let it down are the eyes and nose - maaan that nose - i spent AGES trying to get it right. eyes are always really hard to pull off - the less detail the better but they are the things on a face that we look at most so they are the things that if slightly wrong, are picked up on. tricky tricky. all it takes is practise.
