I've been struggling to post at work recently; last week it was due to the fact that two of the fingers on my left hand were heavily bandaged and so it took me ages to type anything, and this week I don't feel I've been able to take a proper lunch break so have been unable to post.

Things are good. My energy levels don't seem to have been affected by pregnancy, although I do seem to need to be in bed by 10.30 at the latest. I've just run a crazy Talking Tots group (language group for 9-18 month olds) - it was brilliant because there were 6 children and their carers there, but I think that'll have to be my limit on numbers because it was very manic and I felt like I rushed around like a nutter. Plus the building we were in had the heating turned on full blast and we couldn't turn it off and I was sweltering. In terms of groups, it'd be cool if you could spare a moment to pray for Talking Time (the one for the older age group) as numbers are very low there (tends to be 2 per week) and there's a danger it'll be cancelled if we don't get more.

Went out last night with the Wiggers. We went to the Clay Oven near Endcliffe Park, and had a really lovely time and laughed lots. We went for a walk afterwards and then hung around by the cars while the men smoked a cigar. It made me feel a bit like being a teenager again. Although, as Ez pointed out, an image slightly ruined when we got back into our cars with their car seats in!

OK, better go. Team meeting is being held in my room so the troops will be descending soon.

hello my lovelies.

i am extremely tired but doing surprisingly ok. Ben has got into a frustrating habit of waking up at 5.30am and it's all our fault! can't remember if i've already written this on the blog but when he was ill i brought him into bed and since then he's thought that whatever time he wakes up he can come and see us. so now we're having to effectively "break" this habit by putting him back in his room and telling him it's still sleeping time. becuase he's in a bed, rather than his cot, he can very easily get out, so we are now shutting his door so the escape route is blocked. we are also cutting out his sleep in the day, cos what was happening was that he was waking up early and then falling asleep in the day cos he was so tired. it's so awful that we're the ones that caused this!!! also, we were being lazy and if he came into our room in the morning e.g. at 6.30am, we were bringing him into bed with us so we could lay there for longer, but of course, Ben, who has no concept of time, does not realise that 6.30 is an ok time to wake up and come into our room but that at 5.30am is not and that instead he should go back to sleep. the other problem is that while we are doing the habit breaking, Ben is very grumpy in the day because he's so tired!!! i'm sure this all must sound highly pathetic, and possibly even amusing, but 5.30 is just too too early for me to start my day.

that went a bit rantish!

and now i've got to stop cos it's time for my group. for which i need energy.
