COME ON! posted by Ant | 6:08 PM | Friday, November 28, 2003 i'm dead excited me! i've been working on LOFTER's first track from our new demo. andy and i recorded our guitar parts this afternoon and i've had a rough mix & master - it's sounding great! well great in a just started kind of way. you see, i listened to blink 182's 'all the small things' to compare production and it's scary how much bigger it sounds compared with what i've done tonight... i've got a long way to go before i reach that level of skill! if you want to have a listen then i may be able to give you a sneak preview if you ask nicely! ;) posted by Ant | 10:22 PM | Monday, November 24, 2003 you are my... posted by Ant | 9:11 AM | Thursday, November 20, 2003 *PHEW!* that's better. things seem to have normalised after that polava (!) below... anyway, went out last night to connect leaders huddle where the big G (gareth) and lizzie started their stretch - it was cool! then went to si wilk's birthday at the devonshire cat which was fabo. got a little tipsy on strong beer! then went to the forum for a bit of a jig. that was quite fun - most people had gone home so but i pursuaded moosh and ben cooper to come along and it was a bit of a laff. check these photos out. i also had a chat to two guys. one prays every night but doesn't know who to - i'm gonna give him a call over the next week!!! the other bloke's girlfriend is a month late and i was telling him not to get an abortion (i have a feeling his girlfriend won't have one anyway) but WHAT A MISSION FIELD! I was driving home from work and just thinking how motivated I feel and how I was bored in Barnsley but didn't realise until I'd left. What I want more than anything is for God to help me to love the people in my area so that rather than just doing a good job, I see the kingdom come and that these people's lives and community and area change. I want to have more passion for it all. Prayer request there I guess cos it's all too easy to go into work mode and forget about God's input. It's not that I forget about God at work; rather that I talk to him about me rather than other people! Have realised how flippin task orientated I am. Good in some ways, definitely not so much in others. Was supposed to have someone round tonight so that she could practise her presentation talk on me. She's a german lady who's got a son a bit older than Ben. I met her at the toddler group and met up with her last Thursday. She's studying psychology and is the only foreign student on the course. Last Thursday she was asking me about God and we had a good conversation. Anyway, she cancelled cos she got the dates mixed up for the presentation but we're going to get together next Thursday again. So I've got a lovely evening in doing my own thing which I always love. Ant's got James C round so they'll play playstation all evening. I could do the ironing but....... doesn't appeal! Oh yes, was also v. proud of myself today for creating a handout giving language advice for 2 year olds. If you ask nicely I may even let you see it!
