Saturday, December 28, 2002 hello all!
hope you all had a fantastic christmas... we're having our second christmas as we speak! unreal man. we've had a fab time at ant's mum and dad and now we're having another fab time at caroline's mum and dad. ben's been spoilt beyond belief but i guess that's allowed when it comes to grandparents. anyway, here's a christmas monkey for you all :) love abc (ant, ben, caroline) xxx posted by Ant | 10:44 AM | Monday, December 23, 2002 this is an email we were forwarded that originally came for some guy called pastor ted haggard of the world prayer center, colorado springs (they're real). i hope this isn't a hoax (like most forwarded emails regarding political and religious content (that's called 'spam' -don't fall for it!) but even if it is, this seems like a very good idea and if God pulls it off, it won't just save many lives, it'll get western society believing their leaders are doing the best things for them again rather than slagging them off for taking action against a dictator (i hate the press - i'm sure they'd change their minds if saddam actually bombed us). "Last week the spirit of the Lord woke me in the middle of the night and powerfully spoke to me. He told me that if we could mobilize 1,000,000 intercessors to pray for Saddam Hussein, that he would leave Iraq, thus avoiding the need for a war. After He spoke to me, I saw a series of visions of people suffering because of the horrors of war. Then I realized that God had a plan that He was going to fulfill one way or another, but that His greatest desire would be to remove Saddam without the suffering of so many. I have shared this with Peter Wagner, Chuck Pierce, the International Coalition of Apostles, and briefly on Daystar network, and felt prompted this morning while praying at the World Prayer Center to write to you about it. My heart is burning within me about this, because we have the ability to simply have Saddam leave Iraq like so many other dictators have left their countries thus opening the door for freedom without a war. I think, though, that we only have until the end of December to rally the troops to pray. Please join us in praying, and alert as many intercessors as you can, so that we can play our part in raising these 1,000,000 intercessors to cry out to God for war to be averted." posted by Ant | 1:40 PM | Sunday, December 22, 2002 ben has now been dedicated to God! we had some great pics taken thanks to moosh and abigail so enjoy :)
it's been such a crazy weekend but it's been wonderful! on the other hand we are utterly knackered and so to bed we go. good night. posted by Ant | 9:56 PM | Saturday, December 21, 2002 today is gonna be crazy (not as crazy as tomorrow though - in the morning, caroline and ben are playing mary and jesus in a nativity, in the afternoon, ben is getting dedicated and in the evening i'm singing in a carol service - all while juggling family and friends!) because we've got people arriving from all over the place, reading, california (not directly) and elsewhere. it's gonna be great to see them all though, especially dan and joe who haven't even met their own godson yet! we'll keep you informed... posted by Ant | 8:58 AM | Thursday, December 19, 2002 ben's getting dedicated this sunday - if you can come then do! it's at st toms, sheffield at 2pm - see you there :) posted by Ant | 4:58 PM | Tuesday, December 17, 2002 we just had a brill time with our little cluster (church groupish thingy) at a mini christmas party here at our house. it was really cool and we drank pop and mulled wine and played party games and laughed and got on really well - yeah! last night we (lofter) had a cool practise - first one after james' leaving. it went really well - we just need a new drummer - come on you skate-punk-indie-rock drummers out there! by the way, there's a movie of how ben wants to destroy all my things on this page here posted by Ant | 11:49 PM | Monday, December 16, 2002 wise man say: "light a man a fire and he'll be warm for a night. set a man alight and he'll be warm for the rest of his life" thanks to lee for that little gem posted by Ant | 1:44 PM | new ben pics posted by Ant | 9:07 AM | good but knackering weekend. ben's been ill and wakes himself up coughing. we're all so tired! let's hope i don't get ill coz caroline'd have to put up with 2 whinging boys... wish i'd finished work already - there's loads to tie up this week and it's the last thing i want to do - on with the grind... anyone know an emo-skate-punk-rock drummer? ;) posted by Ant | 9:06 AM | Friday, December 13, 2002 *sigh* james (or jamoir (or el j'háiró)) has just quit lofter - gutted. currently fighting many varied emotions! that's the second band member to leave and the second band member to join mark stoney's band - the good thing is that now james will be able to work with mark 100% so it's all for the best! on a lighter note - oh maaan - this is SOOOOOOOooo scary and it seems SOOOOOOOooo wrong... check out the huggy jesus (nicked the link off andy - ta) posted by Ant | 4:13 PM | Thursday, December 12, 2002 this is utterly fascinating... the site i did the flash work for (clubbers temple) has been under a load of attack from a 'slag-off' site called ursux.com. it's most amusing so check out the direct link to the huge ongoing discussion here posted by Ant | 9:35 AM | Wednesday, December 11, 2002 we've been away for the weekend which is why we haven't posted for a few days. not that i need to make excuses and not that i worry about speleng (like neill does - he's pade £20 for the privelige of a spell cheker - crazy!) well while caroline was in reading with her folks, i headed into the den of london for a big bender. it was cool (if not a little insane). i went to see my long time friend rob (be warned - his site has a really annoying browser resize function), we were in a band many moons ago called toy bridge (check this site out - i've put it up for y'all - a blast from the past complete with mp3s. also i have a few of the tshirts if anyone wants one cheap!). rob and i also went to visit lee (his site's under construction at the mo so go easy) which was really great - reminded me of being in halls at uni as his room was tiny and packed full of technology! anyway, we went out both nights and had loads of fun - especially on saturday night coz we met a cool geezer in a bus stop on the way home at about 5am and ended up going to bed at 7.30am which could be a new record for me as that's the time i generally get up nowadays. here are some cool pics
had a great band practise on monday night - really productive in song writing together which is a new thing - abigail was writing great melodies and si was creating cool guitar licks. nice. posted by Ant | 10:24 AM | Wednesday, December 04, 2002 i've got great new hair - thanks bea!
wow! just bought some wine off a pal of mine alex (coz he gave us a discount!) and found out that he's going out with a young lady he got together with at his brother's wedding - the thing is that we helped out a little on the day with a small amount of stirring and pushing - how cool is that! usually caroline and my match-making skills tend to go horribly wrong! cheap wine too :) here's a pic of us taken yesterday when the sun was out for 5 minutes - i love this - our best family portrait so far!
